friday is for favorites /// the exhaustion edition

You guys. I am so tired. I just can't fake it. And I know I'm not the only one. This time of year is so magical but it's also a little exhausting, right? I deliriously burst into uncontrollable laughter a few minutes ago because I saw the pile of holiday cards I designed that need to be written and sent to family and friends sitting under a stack of shipping supplies.  It definitely didn't warrant a laughing fit (delirium will do that), but it was just so amusing me to me that I've spent so much time packing up shipments of card orders (among a million other projects) that I can't seem to find an hour to write out my own.

For new readers, Friday is for Favorites is my weekly series where I become a rebel, and break all of my own rules of design cohesiveness to which I normally adhere on the Bubby and Bean blog.  No themes, trend collections, or matching aesthetics - just a random collection of things I happen to be loving on that particular Friday.  This week has been so hectic that I haven't time for my regularly scheduled favorite-hunting.  But then I realized that it's been an awfully long time (hello, July) since I've done a Pinterest post (you can read past editions here), so why not give myself a few minutes to enjoy a little Pinterest time and pull my favorites from there?  It's really convenient for instant gratification type inspiration, that Pinterest is.

For a full-on Friday is for Favorites experience, click here to read past editions.  For now, I hope you enjoy this slightly watered down but still full-of-love version that I put together through half-open eyes. I know the images aren't laden with my usual attempts to be witty via scribbled notes and hearts and stars and all that, but they're still totally favorite worthy.  If you're Pinterest addicted like I am, you can see more of where this came from on my Pinterest page.  And make sure sure to leave your Pinterest link in the comments section so that when I finally catch up on work, I can waste lots of time drooling over your picks as well.

Oh, and here are the image sources from the top.  Again, a slightly watered down version void of both wit and any sort of explanation as to why I think these things are awesome.  I hope you'll just trust me this time that there is good reason as to why I love them, even though I can't muster the energy for my normal ramblings on about why they rock.  1. very inviting unmade bed, 2. 'success is the sum of small efforts' poster, 3. pretty b&w photo, 4. prismatic5. Christmas tree glossary, 6. ethereal sky image, 7. awesome advent calendar, 8. I like you, yellow tights.  I'll be back next Friday with a real live, full blown Friday is for Faves, promise.

What are you doing this weekend?  I plan to sleep.  We'll see how that goes.  I'm also going to the husband's band's annual holiday show tomorrow night.  It's actually a really fun evening, where a couple of the band members play acoustic songs.  Very relaxed, intimate and easy.  And 5 years ago, Robbie and I had our first date at that very show, so I kind of have to go, right?  If I can't keep my eyes open, the couch backstage is pretty comfy.

  4. Everyone is so busy and so tired! I also am prone to inappropriate or random laughing fits when I'm beyond exhausted. Sometimes in public places, and sometimes in really inappropriate places. I guess it's better to be laughing than crying, though right? Get some rest this weekend, love.
