These goodies from Tara over at Old Silver Apiary have quickly become some of my skincare favorites. The lip balms (I have Coconut Lime and Lemongrass & Lavender) go on smooth, smell incredible, and keep my lips perfectly hydrated. And the Rose & Chamomile Healing Salve has been working wonders on my elbows and cuticles. Tara hand makes everything in her studio with organic and local ingredients, and she's also a really rad person. Check out her Etsy shop and like her Facebook page. I promise you'll be glad you did.
Johnny Cash. On repeat. On vinyl. All week long.
When the fine folks at Brooklyn-based Caseable asked if I wanted to design a custom phone case using one of my photographs, I was all about it. It took me a while to decide what to use, but ultimately I chose one of my favorite shots from Robbie's and my belated honeymoon/anniversary trip to Santa Fe last fall. It only took a few minutes to create, the case arrived quickly, and I was thrilled with the outcome - the colors are vivid and the case is clearly stellar quality. And I'm a big fan of the fact that it's made from recycled materials. If you're looking to create a unique custom case for your phone, iPad, tablet, or laptop, you have to check these guys out. (Be sure to pay a visit to their Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest pages too!)
On my hands: Essie Navigate Her. On my feet: Essie In the Cab-ana. This is my current #1 color combo for nails.
I picked up these rings the other day and haven't taken them off since. I love the delicate design, the clean geometric shapes, and the varied sizing. I need to find a similar set in silver. (I couldn't find the all three of these online, but here is the diamond cutout ring from the set.)
Coconut water has been on my favorites list for years, but this week I've been drinking it more than ever. New discovery: it is divine mixed in with smoothies. Try it. Trust me.
I have a serious thing for sunflowers in the summertime. And since the outdoor critters have taken it upon themselves three times now to make sure that none of our sunflower seedlings even make it past one day this year, it means having fresh cut ones inside instead. This week marked my first batch of what will become a continuous stream of sunflowers in my house, all summer long.
Friday is for Favorites! For new readers, 'Friday is for Favorites' is my (once upon a time weekly; then monthly; now more accurately occasionally) series where I become a rebel, and break all of my own rules of design cohesiveness to which I normally adhere on the Bubby and Bean blog. No themes, curated collections, or matching aesthetics here. Just a gathering of a few random things that I happen to be loving most this particular week, now shared with you.
I actually decided to change things up for this week's 'Friday is for Favorites.' Instead of posting about things I love that I've discovered online this week, I snapped some photos of things I love that I already own. You know, because 'when you love what you have, you have everything you need' and all that. Also, I guess the fact that all of these things have something in common (they're all things that I already have and love) means that there is actually a theme here - which means I'm breaking my own rule of breaking the rules for 'Friday is for Favorite' posts. Oops.
I hope that those of you here in the states had a fantastic 4th of July, and that all of you, regardless of geographical location, have an absolutely amazing weekend. See you Monday.
