Although intrigued by the occasional pop of lime, it's never been at the top on my color list.  Until recently.  I'm always interested in what Pantone has to say, and the very lime-ish 'tender shoots' from their spring 2013 chart admittedly opened my mind to the many possibilities of this particular shade of green.  It's not the best color with my skin tone, but that hasn't stopped me from admiring all sorts of lime-colored goodies (and even investing in a few lime accessories).  I've also been sporting lime on my nails pretty incessantly since springtime.  There's something quite feminine about it without being excessively girly.  And it looks great with neutrals (which will always be my personal color cup of tea).

What are your thoughts on lime green shades?  Yay or nay?

  1. I love lime! I have an old photo of myself sitting on a lime colored bench wearing a dress with blue and lime hues eating Key Lime pie in Key West. That photo pretty much sums up my love for the color and the flavor! :)

  5. I recently acquired a really cute necklace with large, lime-coloured stones in it and I absolutely love it - it's just the right amount of bold colour for me!

  6. I like those shorts. I also like the length, most shorts over here are very short shorts.

  7. Yeah this color looks pretty atrocious with my skin tone...I am as white as can be with yellow undertones, so lime sort of makes me look jaundiced. But a long time ago, I stopped worrying about what colors suit me and just started wearing whatever I liked. Actually, I'm not sure I ever really wore colors that suit me? Lol. People should have more fun with their clothes. :)

  9. TOTAL YAY. I love lime green, yet I own nothing in the color. I must fix that. LOVE the nail polish. I really want a lime green scarf, as I use them for everything... in my hair, around my neck, as a belt... I love scarves.

  11. Great picks. I don't wear lime a lot, but I do like to accessorize with it. And v-neck tees are my go to top this summer.

  13. Methinks lime is quite girlie, yes. With an edge. It's almost an odd neutral. I love the lime shorts! We up here in Canada-land just got ourselves a jcrew...yipee!

  14. Those sunglasses - so cool! Lime wouldn't be my most favorite color, but I love brights during summer time, so lime is perfect. I'd probably keep it low key, though, maybe some nail polish and a few accessories or something like that.

  17. I have a shirt this color and I LOVE IT. It gets wrinkly fast, though, which is a bummer.
