I Want To Know: What Is Your Favorite Thing About the Holidays?

I Want To Know: What Is Your Favorite Thing About the Holidays?

It's the most wonderful time of the year you guys!  Seriously though, it really is. When you look beyond the stress and commercialism and incessant rushing around, and focus on what makes the holidays so special, I think most of us would agree that these few weeks ultimately bring about more magic and memories than any other time.  In this spirit, I asked Bubby and Bean's medium and large sponsors to share their favorite things about the holiday season.  I'll share mine at the end of the post, and I'd love to hear yours as well!

To find out more about the rad people behind Bubby and Bean's December sponsor team, just click on the links in each of their submissions below to visit their homes around the web.  Their shops offer some pretty amazing holiday gifts, and their blogs are full of fun holiday inspiration.  Be sure to take a peek at their social media accounts as well!

1. VERONICA FROM THE HAPPY LIFE OF A CITY GIRL:
My favorite thing about the holidays is how everyone seems to focus on the positive and beautiful things in life. I am all about the glass-half-full approach!

2. OLGA FROM OBO CREATIONS:
My favourite thing about the holiday is that i get to make every one a present! This is the only thing that is better than simply making something - making it for someone specifically! I love every single bit of the process starting from getting an idea of what to make to finishing creation and wrapping it up and the excitement of seeing the person tearing the wrapping and seeing an item!

Thanks again to those who shared their favorite part of the holidays this month (and to all of the wonderful shops and blogs who chose to advertise in December!).  Sponsors are crucial to Bubby and Bean.  The funds raised by their ad spots are used to devote the necessary time and money to keep this blog going and make sure it's at its best for our readers. Sponsors support Bubby and Bean, so when our readers support our sponsors, everyone wins!  This is especially true this time of year, when we all have a choice as to where we do our holiday shopping.  Supporting small and handmade businesses is so important.

As for me, my favorite thing about the holidays is those moments when we get to relax, be lazy on the couch, and watch old holidays movies with the tree lights on.  It's such a simple pleasure, but during all of the busyness of December, it's something for which I am very grateful.

Your turn!  What is your favorite thing about the holidays?  I want to know!

  1. I love that during the holiday season, people are just nicer. They are in better moods, and there seems to be less meanness in general. It is made up for in January, but I love to give out, and take in all the kindness during these few weeks.

  6. I always love reading these posts, Melissa, but this one is particularly uplifting and inspiring - the holidays really does seem to bring out the best in everyone. And that should be my favourite part, but I have to admit that I'm a sucker for holiday treats every time. I probably eat my weight in chocolate every December :)

  8. It's crazy busy over here and I'm sure it will be right up to Christmas, but I am looking forward to the "slow" week inbetween Christmas and New Year to catch up on some leisurely reading :)

  9. Celebrating with those I love, Christmas Eve fondue, and giving special gifts (and receiving them, as well!), and of course, the holiday spirit.
