Life Lately, In Snapshots // The Early Spring Edition
1. robbie wasn't home much the first quarter of the year, but when he was, these two were inseparable.  //  2. loved this sunny sunday morning in scottsdale. //  3. packing for arizona got me stoked for warm weather clothes.  //  4. super bowl sunday brought the biggest snowstorm of the season, so we took advantage.  //   5. essley and her buddy grayson had lots of dance parties  //  6. the arizona sunsets were breathtaking, every night we were there.  //  7.  fresh citrus fruits got my pumped for summer.  //  8. essley and i rocked the handmade valentines.  //  9. butterfly wonderland in scottsdale was magical //  10. we took essley to shedd aquarium and girlfriend was mesmorized.  // 11. discovered this beautiful winter-kissed road while driving around one day while essley slept.  //  12. had some great hang time with my furry niece in indianapolis.  // 13. the first park day of the year was a success. // 14. designed some new cards for the shop.  //  15. was infatuated with this wall of hot sauces at the international food store in indianapolis.  //  16. discovered one final patch of snow while out on a run; said 'beat it' out loud.

The blog has been full of inspiration type design/home/fashion roundup posts lately without much personal content, so it felt like the perfect time for a 'Life Lately' update. These posts seem to only happen a handful of times a year now that Instagram is my go-to for sharing pieces of my life, but as I've mentioned before, I really do enjoy putting them together from time to time. It forces me (in a good way) to take a few minutes to sit down and look back over the previous months. People always say that as you get older, time passes more quickly. And at least for me, I think they're right. It's good to intentionally reflect every now and then, and these posts allow me to do that. (And also share a little more about the real live person behind this blog!)

These last couple of months have a mix of extremes - a lot of time spent indoors hiding from freezing temps in late January and February followed by endless outdoor activities centered around hot weather and sunshine in March. (There are a couple of shots above from our time spent in Arizona this month - I'll share more details and pictures from that trip later this week.) It's been that strange time when my least favorite part of the year transitions into my favorite, when grey skies and lifeless trees and short days begin to be replaced by color and budding flowers and later sunsets. It's kind of cool to look back over these photos and see how this time of year is represented through them.

As always, you can view more peeks of what I'm up to on the daily over here. So what about you? What have you been up to during this winter to spring transition time of year?

  1. I love the tiny ponytail on top of her head. What a little muffin!

As for what I've been doing lately, it's mostly been crying because the weather is terrible everywhere I go. Allegedly it's supposed to be in the 60s this week but WE SHALL SEE. #dramatic
