What Have You Been Up To?

I didn't have a post scheduled for today, but then I decided last minute just to check in and say hi. So hi! I spend a lot of time interacting with you guys on Instagram, but the blog often feels more formal - and when I am talking about more personal things, I'm talking about myself. But what about you guys? Some of you comment regularly (and I love that so much!), but we have a pretty large readership base and most never comment. And that is also totally fine, of course, but today I'd love to hear from some of you too, if you're up for it. What have you been up to? Do you have anything fun planned for summer? If you're not a regular commenter, where do you live? What's your name? I'd love to know!

And since we're being so informal today, I might as well just tell you guys that I am currently nursing Emmett and typing this with one hand. So glamorous. Also, how about that pic of Essley eating a smoothie pop? (We hand made them with this rad frozen pop maker.) I walked in the other day and she informed me that she was wearing her "smoothie pop hat." Love that kid.

  1. Hi Melissa! I'm a regular commenter on Instagram but never on the blog. I love reading about your little family especially because our daughters were born 4 hours apart :) we have lots of weddings planned this summer - cousin, brother, co-worker and best friend. Did I mention we are standing in 3 out of 4 of them?! Going to be crazy busy!

    1. Hi Alisen! I love that our daughters were born 4 hours apart! And I can't imagine being in 3 weddings in one summer. Sounds fun and exhausting. :)

  4. You already know me! Haha. Our big time-suck lately is... we're moving! Our subdivision is having a hot streak and since we bought low in 2012, we're jumping on it. Aaaaaah! We hit the market a week from Thursday.

  5. You definitely already know me, too ;) Life around here seems to revolve around work lately, and I'm currently starting to evaluate if I can actually manage my (very demanding) day job with my blog - I love both but somewhere, something is going to have to give because, well, I miss sleeping!

  6. I comment occasionally but have never introduced myself. :) I'm Michelle or Shelly and you're my favorite blog! I haven't been up to much lately except working a lot but I'm going on a couple of trips this summer and I can't wait.

  10. I guess it's time for my first comment! That picture of Essley is sooooo cute! I'm Sam and I live in Indiana. I'm married and have two fur babies, a dog named Sabrina and a cat named Cha Cha. I check your blog everyday and get sad if there isn't a post. Keep it up!

  11. Hi Melissa, my name is Giselle and I LOVE your style: clothes, furniture, everything! My son's name is also Emmett (he just turned 5), so I was very excited when you revealed your little one's name because it's even spelled the same. Hope you have a great day, we're enjoying a day of heat and sunshine in Portland OR before a rainy weekend.
