While I only very rarely do outfit posts anymore, there were aspects about them that I really enjoyed. They always featured looks I was actually wearing for a real life reason or occasion (in other words, I didn't get dressed up just to do photo shoots), so it was fun to look at the photos we took and see how or why I chose to wear what I did. And even though I work from home and have two very young kids and often end up in outfits based comfort levels, I still love fashion. I worked in fashion for fifteen years after all. (Old habits die hard and all that stuff.) And truth be told, even when I run to the store in yoga pants and an oversized tee, I still take a minute to pair what I'm wearing with a couple of accessories and cute shoes. So lack of outfit posts here on Bubby and Bean or otherwise, I still enjoy getting dressed and picking out looks and following the world of wearable style whenever time allows me to do so. It's a part of me, man.

I recently got lost for a good half hour looking through outfit posts here from over the years, and while some tempted me to hit "delete post" (I didn't, but the thought sure did cross my mind), others reminded me of the parts of doing them that I enjoyed. A few outfits stood out as my favorites, and I thought I'd share them here today. I also included links above to each specific post, in case you'd like to see more views of the outfits, details of the inspiration behind them, or links to from where each piece came. Also: so. many. hats. I'll just leave it at that.

Thanks for letting me share, friends! Maybe one of these days I'll surprise you all with an out of the blue outfit post once again. In the meantime, you can always check out what I'm wearing in a given month via the What I'm Wearing Now series.

  2. I can't help it - I will always love outfit photos, and this is such a fun round-up. There are so many shots I recognized, and also a few that I had never seen! I love you in that red floral mini dress, probably because it's so far from what I would expect to see you wearing and yet it suits you so perfectly.
