Happy Halloween!

Family Halloween Costume Ideas

Happy Halloween friends! After a fun-filled weekend in Indianapolis for our annual Halloween trip to see my sister (you can see the last three years of photos from our adventures there above), we've spent the last few days squeezing in every last drop of Halloween magic in preparation for the big day. For the second year in a row, Robbie is home today (he is usually on tour with the band right now), and we're so excited to go trick or treating in our neighborhood. This is also the first Halloween in our current house, and we can't wait to hand out candy in what we hear is one of the busiest neighborhoods for trick or treating in our city. We're also stoked to attend Essley's Halloween parade at school today. So fun.

As much as I love the concept of a group family costume, I let my little ones choose their own costumes. Essley decided to be "the queen of butterflies" in the summer, and Emmett recently switched from a pumpkin to his current obsession, "baby shark." Robbie and I had to get in on the fun though, so I'm dressing as a butterfly to match Essley, and Robbie will be daddy shark to match Emmett. Head over to my Instagram Stories to follow along on our adventures today!

I hope your Halloween is magical and spooky in the best of ways.
