But this one struck a chord, because I can't believe what a long way the things you can do with melted crayons have come since I was a kid. My mom, well-intentioned but not very gifted crafter that she was, read somewhere that you could melt down old crayon ends to make new ones, and so she did exactly that one summer - leaving us with three giant brown crayons, because inevitably, when you mix a whole lot of colours together, you get brown. We had those giant crayons forever!
