Spring is probably my favorite time of year. It feels fresh and new, and the beginning of long days and warm weather. And it's the perfect time of year to make these fun Easter/spring themed treats!
Easter Crispy Rice Treat Nests
serves 12
INGREDIENTS:
6 tablespoons butter
1 bag (10 oz) marshmallows
4 cups crispy rice cereal
egg candies or jellybeans
Melt butter in a large pot over low heat. Stir in marshmallows a little at a time until fully melted. Stir in crispy rice cereral. Remove from heat and slowly stir in rice cereal until thoroughly combined. Grease a 12-cup muffin tin with butter and place equal parts of the mixture into each cup, using a spoon to form into “nests.” Cool completely and top with egg candies of your choice.
