ethereal + bohemian

sasha pivovarova for free people

Sasha Pivovarova would be striking in an old t-shirt and sweatpants, but when you pair her with Free People's gorgeous bohemian-romantic spring designs and photographer Guy Aroch, the results are fairly jaw dropping.  I'm in love with all of the flowing fabrics, earth tones, and tribal accents.  It feels very airy, poetic, and relaxed, and sort of makes me want to get dressed all pretty and run through a field barefoot.

These looks are all going on my current inspiration board.

It's Friday!  What are your plans for the weekend?  Mine include wedding, wedding, and oh yeah, wedding.  (The pressure's on!).

See you tomorrow morning for Saturday Morning Daydreams!

  1. this look always comes back and when it does I want to try it out all over again!

  2. This look has never been out for me!

  3. I love these! The poses are fantastic and her outfit in the gypsy one is gorgeous :D

  4. agreed! it's been sitting on the top of my magazine pile, for about a month now. i look at it over, and over again. it's my fave one by them, so far.

  5. This look is awesome! I love free people's clothes and styling! I even drool looking at their website!

  6. LOVE love love!! I especially love your little notes on the photos, makes them even more inspiring!!

  7. I love, love, love Free people. I applied for a job in their marketing department and was so bummed when I didn't get a call. Oh well, I can still shop.

  8. Gorgeous! Lovely little doodles you did on the pics too! That first dress is to die for.

  9. Love these - and love Free People! (esp. when it's on sale at Macy's and Bloomies!)

  10. All these looks are great, but I especially love the first one. And I'm always a sucker for wide-legged or bell bottom jeans. I was wondering, are you going to design your own wedding dress or maybe collaborate with a designer?

  11. Thanks for the comments everyone!

Lulu, boooo on not getting the job, but yay for still being able to shop. ;)

Alsessandra, you're funny. :) I'm having a hard time forcing myself not to shop for anything except wedding stuff, and I'm not making it any easier on myself, am I?

Mary (Hideaway), I actually am a clothing designer (my full-time gig is at Mountains of the Moon)! I've been going back and forth between making my own dress, wearing my mother's late 60's shift wedding dress, or reworking a vintage piece. Right now (since we're stillllll trying to find a venue) it's looking less likely that I'll design one from scratch because of time constraints. But nothing's set in stone yet.

    Love to you all!
