Fun Times in Wedding Registry Land

We went on a bit of a wedding registry rampage this week, and I thought it would be fun to share some of the items we chose.  I think we were a little overwhelmed (and slightly intimidated) at first, mainly because we do most of our "home goods" shopping at vintage shops and smaller boutiques.  It didn't take us long though to ease into the experience, and in no time, we were running around the stores with our little scanning guns in hand like children on the loose at Chucky Cheese.  Although I'll fully admit that we'd live off take-out and Amy's Organics frozen meals if it wasn't for Robbie's cooking prowess, I even got excited about the cooking gadgets. (Who says design and pretty colors aren't just as important as functionality when it comes to kitchen appliances?)

1. Le Creuset French Oven (dream gift #1)
2. Kitchenaid Mixer in Empire Red (dream gift #2)
3. Yellow pepper mill
4. Colorful ceramic mixing bowl set
5. Red rice bowls and sushi servers
6. Mason jar drink dispenser
7. English pea dish towels
8. Seafloor pillow cover
9. Savon/Bain canister set
10. Pale blue glass soap pump

Have any of you had registry adventures lately?
I hope you're having a beautiful Thursday so far...

  1. I love some of your choices. I recall having a hard time pickign out things for our registry when I married my ex. We had been living together for so long we already had everything we NEEDED.

  4. Hey Melissa,
I got married in January and we registered for the colorful Le Creuset dinnerware which I think you can only get at Sur La Table. We got 2 of each color and the dishes look fantastic in our open cupboards. They're super durable and they are microwave, dishwasher and oven safe. http://www.surlatable.com/category/cat450610/

    Congrats!

  11. I'm not a huge fan of being in the kitchen either, but I think that if all my dishes and gadgets were as colorful and pretty as these that I would enjoy it a lot more!

  14. I've been married for over 5 years and I get so jealous whenever I see people registering...I want to do it again! We were overwhelmed at first, but then got scanner crazy. Now that some of our stuff is seeing some wear & tear, my scanner finger is starting to itch again. (in extra-whiny voice)...I want a Le Creuset French Oveeennnnnn....! Do you think it would be in bad taste to start a registry for a vow renewal? ;)

    Great site--I'm your newest fan!
    Cheers,
