Bathroom Makeover: Modern Accessories

Modern Bathroom Accessories // Bubby and Bean

A few months ago, I posted a bathroom vanity wish list roundup and told you guys all about my upstairs bathroom (the only full bath in our place), and how it's my least favorite room in our house. I mentioned that aside from a table and a couple of art prints, it resembles a painfully generic model home bathroom in almost every way. Since the reality is that there won't be any major remodeling work happening in there any time soon, I decided that I'd do some window shopping for accessories and smaller items that, together, could potentially give it a whole new look. The items you see above (all from Modern Bath, who carries some seriously beautiful luxury bathroom furniture, fixtures, and accessories) are at the top of my list right now.  I love that they're all simple, modern, and even a little sleek, but don't look too matchy-matchy paired together as a group.

I've learned over the years that sometimes just focusing on the smaller details of a room can create the illusion of an entirely new space, so that's my goal. If/when I go through with it, I'll be sure to share some photos here. For now, I'm just enjoying the daydream.

Have you even redone details of a bathroom just by replacing smaller things like fixtures and paint?  What about other rooms?

This post is in collaboration with Modern Bath.

  1. I like everything here! Sleek and modern!

  2. I bought a nice porcelain set of toothbrush holder and soap dispenser recently :)

  3. This is what we did in our bathroom upstairs! We did change the counter top, which might not technically be in the "detail" category, but there was no major reno.

I really dig that mounted soap basket you found. Me-ow.

  4. I love everything here. I think black, chrome/stainless and wood are my favorite combination right now.

  5. Fabulous! I can't wait for my new house so I can go more modern!

  6. Oh gosh - my bathroom needs a makeover in a serious way. I'm not sure new accessories would be enough, but these pieces are so cute that I'd sure be willing to give them a try! I especially love the black pedal bin.

  7. We're about to demolish and renovate our only bathroom. It's been long overdue! We've been so focused on the big stuff - tile, tub, vanity, that I haven't even thought of these little details yet. Looking forward to window shopping some of these items myself!
