It's apple season guys. Despite my whining about summer's end, I will happily admit that there is little I enjoy more than taking a bite out of a just picked fall Honeycrisp, chased with a big glass o' fresh cider, and finished with a piece of warm, cinnamon-filled apple pie. Did I mention caramel apples dipped in crushed peanuts? Yep. Give me all the apples. Thankfully Essley and Robbie love consuming their weights in apples as much as I do this time of year, so I've been on the hunt for some new recipes to try using the fantastic fruit of fall. And of course, I had to share my favorite finds with you for this edition of 10 Great. So far I've got #4 and #8 on my 'need to try immediately' list. And despite the fact that it's ultimately the least healthy in this roundup, #2 looks ridiculously good. Which recipe looks the most delicious to you?

  2. #2 caught my eye right away! Apples may be a healthy fruit, but I only love them baked or fried and covered in ice cream :)

  3. I get so excited for apple season. I love eating them in healthy ways too but numbers 1 and 2 are honestly what caught my eye here!

  4. Oh my! I actually just finished my daily apple as I opened this post - I love them so much, one a day is my minimum. But looking at some of these recipes, it seems sort of a shame I just had a plain apple when I could have been eating an apple fry pie! I'll likely never muster the dedication to make those, but the apple and farro salad is definitely going to be bookmarked for later :)

  7. Mmmm, those fall salads look delicious. I make one with cranberries, granny smith apple, and blue cheese with balsamic dressing. People have started to specifically request it when I come over or host, so I'm glad I started making it!
