Despite my overall affinity for summer and disdain for winter, this is my very favorite time of year.  I'm not a fan of the desperately short days, dreary skies, or cold weather, but I absolutely adore the comforts and simple pleasures that come with the holidays.  It's the only time of year when I actually like to cook and bake, it's when my love for decorating is at its greatest, and it's when I feel more motivated than ever to work on DIY projects (and just make things in general).  This year is a little different because I have a baby coming in just a few weeks and both my work and personal 'to do' lists are overflowing, but I am determined to bust out at least a couple of projects before the season slips away.  So for this edition of '10 Great,' I decided to share ten holiday DIYs I've come across recently that look especially awesome.

Have you done any fun seasonal DIYs this year?  Have you decorated for the holidays yet?

  1. I made some sugar scrub last night! It was my first time but it came out really well.

I like the kraft paper wrapping idea from #10. Of course, my sewing machine would probably have something else to say about it... Haha.
