January may be the month when people are most obsessed with getting healthy and/or shedding holiday pounds, but there is just something about this time of year that creates an insatiable sweet tooth in me - especially when it comes to chocolate.  In terms of meals, I make a conscious effort to eat clean, whole foods.  But sweet treats are my exception.  I read somewhere that winter's lack of sunlight causes sugar cravings, so maybe that's the culprit.  Or perhaps the cold weather subconsciously provokes me to seek coziness and comfort through chocolate's innate deliciousness.  Or maybe it's because Valentine's Day (which is basically synonymous with chocolate consumption) is in a few weeks.  Whatever the reason, I'm all about chocolate treats right now.  I've come across quite a few pretty incredible looking chocolate desserts online lately, so for this edition of '10 Great,' I thought I'd share some of my favorite finds with you.

Who else craves sugary chocolate goodness in the winter months?  (Please don't tell me I'm the only one not on a juice cleanse right now!)

  12. No m'am. Why drink juice when you can have chocolate. Found this recipe for chocolate covered cherry muddy buddies this weekend and promptly made two batches. I had to have my husband take some to work so I wouldn't eat them all today. :) http://www.lemontreedwelling.com/2014/01/chocolate-covered-cherry-muddy-buddies.html
