City Girl on the Prairie: Rodarte Fall 2011

Rodarte's Fall 2011 collection inspired me to the level where I had to physically stop myself from running to my design studio to frantically glue photos to a mood board.  Rich textures, subtle prints paired with angled shapes, and lovely neutral colors married modern elegance and prairie-chic.   And ohhhhh, those dresses, full of sweet full circle skirts and cut-out bodices cinched oh-so-perfectly at the waist.  I envision an ardent city girl packing her bags and hopping a train to Kansas to carry out a forbidden romance with a handsome prairie boy. Love.
