Spring Style: Florals

Spring officially begins one week from Friday (not that you guys didn't already know that from my incessant jabbering about it or anything). Like most of us, I could not be more pumped to trade in my coats, gloves, and endless winter layers for pretty lightweight dresses, flouncy shirts, tank tops, and shorts. And this season, I'm especially looking forward to wearing lots of the classic print that was all over the spring runways: florals. From elegant, feminine flowers to bold, larger prints that pack a serious bunch, florals reign supreme right now. Although they can be tricky (the vision of a certain boxy floral print blazer that I donned in the '90s, complete with shoulder pads, is forever burned into my brain, along with deep regret), properly paired with the right pieces (and even other patterns and prints), florals can be incredibly chic and very 'right now.'

In the spirit of spring's floral trend, I teamed up once again with my friends over at Kohl's and put together some of my favorite examples of the modern floral look, using items from their spring lines. The looks you see above can all be found on the Kohl's website and/or in their stores. (See details for each look below.) I think #1 and #4 are my favorites, but I'm seriously eyeing that colorful backpack in #7 too.

What are your thought on the return of the floral trend this season? What's your favorite look from above?

  1. It's a shame I'm not a fan of florals because these scream spring to me! Just like you, I can't wait for spring to arrive....eeeeeek!

  4. I'm feeling it! I thrifted a floral maxi dress(!) the other day and I can't believe how much I love it. Now if the weather would cooperate, I could actually wear it.

  12. I'm really not a florals girl - at least, not for myself. Floral prints are something I love on others but never feel like myself in. But I think these pieces would all suit you beautifully! And I do love the cut of dress number two.
