A Fun Kids' Halloween Table Set-Up

This is the first year that Essley understands Halloween, and the kid is hooked. We can't walk by a pumpkin without her letting out an audible squeal. She thinks that witches and black cats are the bee's knees. She carries her little trick or treat bag around incessantly, like it's her very best pal. It is genuinely wonderful to watch her experience such delight in the holiday, and it inspires me to make it as special as possible for her.

In the spirit of the season, I thought it would be fun to plan a little Halloween-themed lunch for her and a couple of her buddies, complete with things like fresh apple cider and caramel apple dessert, and lots of fun tabletop decor like jack o' lantern and black cat plates, spider cups, witch straws and more. I decided to turn to one of my favorite stores for children's goodies, Pottery Barn Kids, to pick out the tabletop items we'd need. The items you see in the collage below are my favorite finds. Essley even helped me pick out a few of the items - the witch plate and the spider utensil set were all she talked about for hours, and she clapped and cheered for the pumpkin tumblers. It pretty much made my day. I can't wait to see her face when I have everything set up!

With Halloween just a couple of weeks away, I highly recommend paying a visit to Pottery Barn Kids and checking out all of their equally stylish and adorable Halloween goodies. From the tableware items I've shared in the images here to treat bags, decor, toys, and the absolute cutest costumes I've ever seen, they've got you covered for making your Halloween fun for your little ones (and visually lovely for you!). And right now their entire Halloween collection comes with free shipping, plus 20-40% off select costumes and other goodies (like most of the tabletop items I'm featuring). Woohoo!

I have to say in all honesty you guys - being able to team up with great brands that I genuinely love here on the blog is always a pleasure, but every now and then I get especially excited about a partnership because I'm already such a huge fan of the brand. This is one of those times. Although I am partnering with PB Kids for this post, they are truly one of my favorite places to shop for Essley. Their products are well made and incredibly tasteful while still retaining an ability to be fun (which is the whole point of being a kid, in my opinion). Give them a visit here and you'll see what I mean.

Do you have any Halloween parties or activities planned for your little one (or yourself)? Which of the items I've featured here is your favorite?

This post is in partnership with Pottery Barn Kids. Thank you for supporting the brands that help make Bubby and Bean possible.

  2. I won't lie - I don't do much for Halloween of other kid friendly holidays. But I do love a bit of themed decor, I have to admit it, and some of these tabletops are just way too cute - I could totally picture myself setting up an adult party with them!
